Meet Marcus Goh, Founder and Principal Coach.
Marcus helps business owners, executives and individuals gain clarity, work through complex challenges and take purposeful action towards stronger performance and more meaningful outcomes.
Marcus has worked across sales, marketing, business development, retail, e-commerce, wholesale, training and senior business management.
His career includes leadership responsibilities as Managing Director, Country Director and Head of Sales, with experience across local and regional markets.
He has also experienced entrepreneurship first-hand — starting a business from scratch and growing it to over S$1 million in revenue within a few years — as well as building and developing other businesses to multi-million-dollar scale.
Marcus is also the author of a sales-focused book, reflecting his longstanding experience in sales and commercial development.
This combination of corporate leadership, entrepreneurship and commercial experience enables him to understand both the business and human realities of leadership.

Throughout his career, Marcus observed that many capable people do not struggle because they lack intelligence or effort. They struggle because they are too close to the problem, carrying competing responsibilities or operating without a clear structure for reflection and action.
Premier Success Coaching was created to provide that structure.
Executive Thinking Institute was later developed to strengthen the business judgement, decision-making and leadership capabilities that coaching alone cannot always provide.
Marcus believes that effective coaching should:
Respect the client’s experience
Challenge assumptions without diminishing the individual
Address underlying issues rather than surface symptoms
Translate insight into practical action
Strengthen independent thinking
Maintain confidentiality and trust
Focus on meaningful progress rather than motivational promises
Marcus’ coaching is shaped by nearly three decades of business leadership, commercial experience and entrepreneurship, together with professional development in coaching, human behaviour and personal transformation.
His experience spans senior corporate leadership, business building, sales and commercial management, as well as the realities of starting and growing a business from the ground up. Having experienced both business success and difficult setbacks, Marcus brings a practical appreciation of the decisions, pressures and uncertainties faced by business owners and leaders.
His approach combines this real-world perspective with a person-centred coaching philosophy — creating space for clients to think more deeply, challenge assumptions, develop greater clarity and take purposeful action.
Marcus brings nearly 30 years of experience across business leadership, sales, marketing, business development, retail, e-commerce, wholesale and organisational management.
Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership positions including Managing Director, Country Director, Country Manager and Head of Sales. In these roles, he led teams, developed markets, managed commercial performance and made complex decisions involving revenue, costs, people, customers and operations acraoss local and regional markets.
His experience also includes entrepreneurship. Marcus started his own business from the ground up and grew it to over S$1 million in revenue within a few years. The venture later closed during the COVID-19 period, providing first-hand lessons in financial discipline, cash-flow management, risk and the importance of building sustainable growth.
Across other leadership roles, Marcus has also been involved in building and developing businesses to multi-million-dollar scale, giving him experience not only in creating growth but also in managing the operational, commercial and people challenges that accompany it.
Marcus understands both the opportunities and pressures that come with leadership — from building markets and delivering results to managing uncertainty, resolving people challenges, rebuilding performance and remaining accountable when outcomes do not go according to plan.
This breadth of experience enables him to relate closely to the realities faced by business owners, executives and leaders — not only from a coaching perspective, but as someone who has personally carried similar commercial and leadership responsibilities.
Marcus is also the author of The Secret Scroll of Sales Mastery, reflecting his longstanding experience in sales, business development and commercial performance.
Marcus adopts a person-centred, collaborative and results-focused coaching approach.
He believes that effective coaching should offer more than encouragement. It should help clients understand what is really happening, challenge underlying assumptions, identify the issues that matter most and translate insight into practical action.
Depending on each client’s needs, Marcus draws on structured coaching conversations, solution-focused approaches, cognitive-behavioural coaching principles, reflective enquiry, mindfulness and his practical business experience.
Rather than imposing generic answers, he works with clients to examine their situation, explore meaningful options and develop actions that reflect their goals, values, responsibilities and real-life circumstances.
Where appropriate, Marcus may share relevant observations and perspectives from his own leadership and commercial experience. However, the objective remains to strengthen each client’s ability to think clearly, make sound decisions and take ownership of the way forward.
Marcus has developed structured frameworks and learning experiences designed to help clients move from uncertainty to clarity, and from intention to purposeful action.
1. ASCEND™ Strategic Diagnostic System
ASCEND™ helps business owners and leaders assess the health of their business, identify underlying performance issues and determine the areas requiring the greatest attention.
Rather than addressing challenges as isolated symptoms, ASCEND™ provides a connected view of strategy, commercial performance, operations, people, leadership and execution. This enables leaders to better understand how different issues may be influencing one another and where focused action can create the greatest impact.
2. RISE™ Coaching Framework
RISE™ provides a structured approach to the coaching journey:
Reflect on the current reality and desired outcome.
Investigate the underlying causes, assumptions and barriers.
Strategise practical priorities, options and actions.
Execute with accountability, review and adjustment.
Together, ASCEND™ and RISE™ help clients identify what requires attention, make more informed choices and move forward with greater clarity, focus and discipline.
Through the Executive Thinking Institute, Marcus has also developed business simulation and leadership-development programmes designed to strengthen business acumen, executive judgement, decision-making and cross-functional understanding.
Marcus is a Business and Leadership Coach and a Certified Life Coach with the International Coaches Register (ICR). His professional development also includes training and certifications across coaching, leadership development, facilitation, human behaviour, neuro-linguistic programming, mindfulness and complementary approaches to personal and professional development.
These professional foundations complement nearly three decades of practical experience across business leadership, sales, commercial management and entrepreneurship, supporting his work with clients across business performance, sales performance, executive and leadership development, career transition and personal effectiveness.
Marcus believes that qualifications alone do not make an effective coach. Their value comes from combining sound coaching practice with practical leadership experience, attentive listening, thoughtful challenge, professional judgement and a genuine commitment to helping clients develop their own clarity, decisions and actions.
Selected Professional Credentials & Affiliations:

Marcus believes that capable people sometimes become stuck not because they lack intelligence, determination or potential, but because they are too close to the situation, overwhelmed by competing demands or uncertain about what deserves their attention first.
His own experiences across corporate leadership, entrepreneurship, business growth and setbacks have reinforced a simple belief: hard work and good intentions alone do not always produce the desired outcome. The quality of thinking, decisions, financial discipline, willingness to challenge assumptions and ability to learn from experience can be equally important.
He believes that a coach should not take over the client’s thinking or create dependence. Instead, the role of a coach is to provide a trusted space for honest reflection, thoughtful challenge, greater awareness and purposeful action..
His coaching philosophy is grounded in five principles:

Taking action without first understanding the real issue can create more activity without meaningful progress.

Every client’s situation is shaped by experiences, pressures and responsibilities that may not be immediately visible.

Insight becomes valuable when it can be translated into realistic decisions, behaviours and actions.

Coaching should support progress while strengthening the client’s confidence and ability to move forward independently.

Sustainable success should not be measured only by revenue, position or recognition. It should also reflect personal values, relationships, wellbeing and a sense of purpose.
